The Mumbles

- United-Kingdom -

Wednesday 4 February 2015

"Mumbles", I don't know you, but I like this name very much! Unfortunately I cannot tell where it comes from, neither than who from the celtics or the frenchs sailors named it like this. Whatever its origins are, this is where I bring you today!
Mumbles
The Mumbles, written "Mwmbwls" in Welsh are located at the western edge of the city of Swansea (Wales). Nothing is better than a small trip with the windsurf club to discover the place. Unfortunately I won't go on the water today and will only take pictures of the two guys that I am following. The weather is sunny and clear but really cold, as you can see on the background (snow in the hills behind Swansea).

The suburb offers a stunning view over the bay and even over an old castle that I will have to see in details later.

After following the harbour...

We stop short in front of an incredible landscape composed of two islands accessible by foot at low tide.

On the background we can distinguish the Mumble's lighthouse.

After climbing the rocks you can have a rest while enjoying the view offered, at least that's what I do.

The headland is astonishing and the sunset overdoes it.

No video for today but I leave you with something to look at.
